For those that are willing to tackle this, I have several questions regarding virtual/augmented reality?

1) What distinguishes virtual from augmented reality?
2) Is this reality handled in a similar fashion to the virtual world found in the Matrix movies?
3) Is question 2 ultimately the GM’s decision on how handle the virtual world?

I ask because the virtual world will factor heavily in my next campaign and I want to understand it well enough that I can answer any player questions and handle any curve balls (wanting to be a virtual god) the players will throw at me.

Ok, so I played in all 3 Warden run “Living campaign” modules. yes I know they arnt actually called Living in Alpha Omega. It was the best word I could think of. A Man named Jeff Ran thena nd they were awsome. I look forward to more of them next year with my character Alistar. :D

However, The Online Store Discount Code I was given for playing wont work nomatter how I type it in. I keep getting a message that says I have to be registered and logged in when I put in the code, yet I AM registered in the store, AND logged in. The code still dosent work. Not sure what to do at this point. The code seems useless. Any help on this sitation would be appriciated as I have tried calling the contact number for customer service and I get no answer.

Sincerely

Because I read way into things, I was wondering about a few of the backstories and how it all works together. If this question has been answered, I apologize for reposting, but what I’m asking is this:

Did the Seraph and Ophanum invent humans?

Humanity is kind of a unique race on planet Earth, what with walking on two legs, full capacity for speech and whatnot. The way I see it, there are a number of questions that could be answered this way. For example, why Earth? I mean, the S&O have these huge fights every ten thousand years for the purpose of (...?) on the planet simply because it’s there. A possible explanation is that every ten thousand years, the planet Earth is exactly midway between the Seraph and Ophanum homeworld. They could have decided this would be the best place, and created humans as an intelligent and lasting caretaker of the world. Obviously we would have long forgotten that was our role and let angels and demons shift back into myth.

Another reason I thought this works is simple genetics. Nephilim are the by-product of inter-species breeding, which normally doesn’t work. The number and placements of genes in DNA usually prevent anything from forming. There are exceptions of this rule on Earth, like mules (donkey-horse hybrids) and ligers (lion-tigers) but the problem is, all these creatures are mostly infertile. Reproduction from cross-species would require DNA as similar as one human to another. Another wrench is thrown in thinking about grigori, which I always imagine like The Thing from The Fantastic Four. The existence of lesser grigori would signal that they had the similar DNA structure as well.

It might even stand to reason that the Seraph and Ophanum were even created by one even more powerful being or race. After all, they both produce Nephilim, which are identical no matter the parentage, save for a few Elim Genetic Deviations. That brings me to wonder why there were two races within the species, and why they’re on different planets. (I assume they are on different planets, or else going to Earth would be redundant.) It could even be something similar to the Protoss in Starcraft, where one faction chose to be a part of an autonomous collective where another was exiled for favorite individual choice. I’m saying there’s a lot of backstory I’d like to learn, and I realize it wouldn’t be in the Core Manual because the Manual’s written without an omniscient narrator (hence “The past of the Nephilim culture is shrouded in mystery” things). But a few Nephilim must have contact with their parents, these questions could be answered.

So, I know I ranted a little, but I was thinking about this all morning. Mind setting me straight on a few of these questions? That’d be great. Thanks.

-John

I haven’t checked into this, but what would the procedure be for a third-party publisher to create a line of Alpha Omega modules? I know that the OGL provides for opening a surprising amount of content for the Pathfinder and 3.5 D&D rules. AO is released under a much stricter set of guidelines, so would the modules need to be played prior to publication? What about a book of equipment, monsters, or setting-related material (arcologies, factions, etc)?

I have perused the forums at length, and have found general input - not official MSL ruling on the bonus intention ranks provided through Ascension. KaneSolo also has respected opinions, but I have not found any opinions ventured by him.

If a player is an innate wielder and Ascends (or starts as Nephilim), can these bonus ranks be put into any intention and used with both the innate source AND Alpha/Omega sources?

I see how these bonus intention ranks could either be used with both the innate source and spiritual OR only with the spiritual.

Thanks!
