Obsidian Portal Dynamic Sheet

For those of you using Obsidian Portal, I’ve cooked up a dynamic character sheet using their API. It’s strictly data-entry with some simple calculations and lookups (dice pools, movement rates, etc). You can see a sample here.

It’s missing the Grigori state shifting right now, but that’s in the works for the next version. Let me know what you think.

Ok, so I’m not sure where to put this, so any admin or moderator feel free to move it.

I LOVE Alpha Omega. Only problem is there arnt many people, if at all in the CHicago area that I know of who share my love for the game. Infact many of my friends look at it and cringe. I’m trying to change that, but until then just so I can play I was wondering about any online games, or if anyone in the Chicago area who runs a game would be willing to accept another player in their group.

I love playing the Annunaki, and so I thought i’d ask around to see if anyone met those two criteria.

This is something I attempted to discuss earlier with a few mods but didn’t seem to go anywhere. I have a card game system built and almost done but it could easily be converted to alpha omega. If something like this existed would you buy it or play it?

Less than two days. I’ve yet to make my character for the games I’ll be playing in on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (all AO), but will do that tomorrow..I’m looking forward to the game (and learning the rules), as well as meeting some of you!

Problems Ordering Through The Store

Is anyone else having problems ordering items through the store? I’m getting a weird error and wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me before I reported it.

Creature Creator Program

So, I’ve been working on a small program to randomly generate core quality stats for creatures and NPCs and such. Right now the function I use to generate these stats is the physis the user entered plus or minus x percent of this user supplied physis. I typed in a physis of 20 and got this result:

Strength: 26 Dice Pool: 1d8+5d6
Agility: 26 Dice Pool: 1d8+5d6
Conditioning: 25 Dice Pool: 6d6
Vitality: 28 Dice Pool: 2d8+4d6
Discipline: 20 Dice Pool: 4d6+2d4

Charisma: 20 Dice Pool: 4d6+2d4
Athleticism: 26 Dice Pool: 1d8+5d6
PhysicalAccumen: 26 Dice Pool: 1d8+5d6

So, I was wondering if you had any better ideas for a function to randomize the stats or if you think this result is close enough. Any feedback is welcome.

Energy Generation for cities/arcologies

I have read the Core Rulebook where it indicates there are solar/wind farms surrounding many communities. What are the prevalence of other forms of energy generation? Are nuclear reactors in common use in larger city states? I would assume that gas/coal fired electricity is still in use, especially in Freezones, etc. Are there new forms of energy generation?

Curious: How did everyone get into AO?

I had never heard of the game, saw a copy of the Core Rulebook on sale in my local shop and fell in love with the artwork first, then the setting, then bought it.

I’ve since introduced 5 additional players to it, and have plans to introduce another 5 when time permits.

Did you guys find out about AO at a convention? Local shop? Through a friend? (and if so, where did that friend learn about it?)
