From what little I can glean from the this web site and forum, it sounds like a great game. However, this is an incredibly cumbersum web site to navigate. Can anyone point me to link that will give me a nice summery of the game atmospher AND basic rules.
The 6 - 6 system sounds interesting - however you should have called it something different (it sounds too 666ish). You should also consider simplifying your web site. It is too difficult to navigate.
BTW, it was your ad in the the last issue of Dragon that attracted me to your site.

Marv, the game itself hasn’t been released yet so unfortunately we’re limited as to what we can offer you right now.

Could you please tell me what specifically makes this site so difficult to navigate in your opinion?

I registered just to post this reply.

The Flash, while cool, limits us to the one paragraph of information you choose to show at a time, if we can read the grey on grey text screen without getting a headache. I’d also like to mention that this specific text box, in which i am typing my reply, was somewhat difficult to find. I can understand the need to stay with a color scheme in your dark post apocolyptic look, but usability needs to be a bigger factor. Also, I’m guessing that this site is not run by the game’s creators? Some announcement somewhere on the main page of the forums would help prevent questions like "post more info lawlz"

Hey Dogmeat:

Thank you for the feedback, it is appreciated.  As our product line grows and develops so too will our web resources.  I hope soon they can be more in line with what you would like.

Keep sending us the feedback either way!  <!—s:)—>{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif<!—s:)—>

I apologize for this being off the main subject but on the topic of the schemes: I have no complaints here. Been posting for quite some time and never had trouble with my old eyes of mine (I’m not that old, but if you stare at enough computer screens, you start paying attention to those Clear Eyes commercials). As well as the main site: I don’t know how many times I’ve looked up what info there was, but I never had any problems there either. Perhaps it’s just an eye sensitivity thing.

Perhaps the world just needs more standardization in monitor settings…

I just got the core book, and while I love the system and character creation methods.
I would like to know just how to know what is called a challenging encounter.
Also I couldn’t find any kind of monster section. the site said that I would have to buy the book
to find out more about the creatures in the bestiary, but I found nothing.

Glad to hear that you like the system and character creation.

Our next product will be a "Creature Manual" dedicated to a plethora of creatures and encounters of many different forms that will also contain information on methods of determining what a challenging encounter is.

Due to the size of the Core Rulebook and our preference to not mix creatures with the core rules we have chosen to keep them in two separate volumes.

We are concentrating all our efforts to completing the next supplement as soon as possible, but in the mean time you will have to be creative!

Hang on to your creations though! Soon you will be able to contribute them to the AO Community and allow others to use your creatures in their adventures.

Thanks for your support!

Hey i got the core rule book about a week ago now and after reading most of the text i started creating my character i love all the choices but there is one thing i want to clarify really quickly with any one who can answer this question before the character becomes final.

the nephilim species says they get a set amount of bonuses such as "light sleeper", "3 skill ranks in alpha or omega" so on and so forth however the other bonus is starting at ascension level 1 where virtually all the stat bonuses are repeated again.  is this to say that i get all the bonuses again or is it just the bonuses from the ascension level 1 that they were listing under species bonuses.

Thanks for the help.

I was wondering as to the same and forgot.  Very good question.  It’s not one I can really answer but it sure does seem to be the bonuses simply granted from the Ascension level.

My interpretation is that it’s listed for reference so you don’t have to flip to the Ascention section. It’s a common form of redundancy you find in many rpg games to make it more efficient to make a character. The less page flipping, the less time it takes to make a character. <!—s:)—>{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif<!—s:)—>
