You know, I just now noticed this. I’ve only been stopping by the Alpha Omega site every couple weeks. While I was on holiday, I got an email with new pdf’s that made me think things are gearing up somewhat. I also saw mention on the forums of two free mods for later consumption… originally to be released in December, now next year sometime "early."
It’s interesting to see an update. The link from the Triton Enterprises site to the Alpha Omega game site is gone. All the previous Mezin blog entries have also been removed as far as I can tell. The Ethan Haas page looks unchanged.
Here’s the best translation I could manage of the new Mezin blog:
"seekers
Can we (or "V") be hunted?
Does the wolf look back on his own trail?
What trap can be laid for those who can see the future?"
I did send off to the Mezin’s email address asking for clarification. And I checked my old list of email addresses just to see what I’d get. But I’m getting the same old auto-responders from back in September.
I also emailed the AO folks requesting gaming materials and asking why (OH WHY!?!) did they set the core book release date for 1/18/08… the same day as the release of the Cloverfield movie? Remember that whole mess? Good lord. It also doesn’t help that the Mezin update was from 12/17, while Cloverfield blogs were updated on 12/04, 12/13, and 12/27. That stuff had kinda fallen by the wayside too, so now they’re both reactivating around the same time period. Sigh.
FYI, there’s a response in the Mezin blog written in Russian, just voicing general agreement. Follow the link to the writer and you’ll get to an anti-Tagruato web site. Tagruato is the fictional corporation from the Cloverfield movie that makes Slusho!, the frozen drink on the t-shirt of a character in the movie’s official trailer. Tagruato is pretty clearly a real Cloverfield background site, but the anti-Tagruato blog is fan made. The ringleader has admitted as much online.

So again, fans are blindly putting AO and Cloverfield together. The more things change, the more they stay the same. <!—s:P—>{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif<!—s:P—> For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, read my posts in the "Fan Sites" section of the AO community forums.
