Howdy. We’re an Ottawa based role-playing group here just wanting to share our enthusiasm in this new world of Alpha Omega. We’re all pretty experienced gamers. 3 of us with a good table-top background and 1 with a huge ammount of video gaming under his belt (if you want to know the character background of obscure Street Fighter 2 dudes, just ask him). The fifth is more part time with us but still keenly interested in AO.
So far we’ve played four times, and that includes last night with the just released Milk-Run adventure. We’ve ammased a large ammount of questions to ask so this forum gives people annoyed with us a place to attack.

<!—m—>http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=9959898931<!—m—>        This is us. In all our glory (hole).
[b:eb576]Tristan Nill[/b:eb576]: Lesser Nephalim Pistoleer heal-bot….with wings.
[b:eb576]A2-20 [/b:eb576]: AI with a two-handed sword that doesn’t match his personality; sharp.
[b:eb576]Remmington "Remmy" Alvarez[/b:eb576]: You wished you’re life were as long as his name.
[b:eb576]Evan Wynters[/b:eb576]: This techno-wizard can’t cast magic missile but can still bring the pain.

My favorite quote from our session last night = "Hey, lets go save those guns i hear in the distance!"

Hey, hey now.  You’re makin’ me sound like some sort of virgin to the world pen & paper, dude!
Hell, I understand THAC0, man. *shakes fist*

[i:9e3e4]"Remmy Alvarez here, and I don’t think your ‘description’ of me does any favors.
I’m the infiltration expert on the team.  Need a door jimmied?  Need some recon done?  I’m your man.  And I can assure you, when I’ve lodged a crossbow bolt into your forehead from 200 meters out, my name is probably the least of your concerns.  If there’s a dirty job that needs doing, and you want to get it done [u:9e3e4]right[/u:9e3e4], you come to me."[/i:9e3e4]

This is a character sketch I made of Remmington.
His look was half inspired by the biker kids in [i:9e3e4]Akira[/i:9e3e4], half by Ice-T in [i:9e3e4]Surviving the Game[/i:9e3e4].

And say what you will about Remmy’s name, GER, at least he’s not from France.  <!—s8-)—>{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif<!—s8-)—>

No disrespect, but i was meaning most of the other players had more roleplaying background to compare AO too. You’re a great player and fun, I didn’t mean anything bad. But we’ve played with dice pools before with Shadowrun and the White Wolf products. Used Palladiums d20 and percentile based games, and of course all the D&D systems under the sun. Its just a matter of perspective. You’re not a virgin, but you’ve only been dating a couple years where I’ve been divorced three times!

But onto other things. I think Tristan Nill has a few words about himself, that vile fop can’t shut up sometimes….

"I left Arcon C Hell years ago. For a variety of reasons but mostly because wives and mistresses of petty tyrants couldn’t keep their hands off me. My desires often get me into trouble. I am sick with fear of them, my urges. I sometimes wonder what i wouldn’t do to satisfy them. My frail body and weak disposition are a result of all these internal ravings. I can heal though. And my friends. It’s a compensation I think. All my wickedness needed a balance, so i can call on the forces to cure wounds and mend that which is broken. I can shoot…quite well. I needed to defend myself against the buggers and that get annoyed at me. I have been busy since my exile but have settled in Vancouver and hope to start publishing again. It shall all be a rollicking good time. I’ll tell you all about it soon enough."

Hes a mix of Doc Holliday from Tombstone and Rochester from The Libertine i think. With wings.

Corradus, any luck in getting the IC section open to let these two characters in before they take over the forum? <!—s:P—>{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif<!—s:P—>
