Thank you Alex -
I am looking forward to the challenges presented to me here in New York. With one of the largest and diverse areas of coverage for a regional office, New York presents many opportunities for discovering and studying new creatures and technology. I have already pushed through an initiative with the Mayor on conducting a detailed survey of the city and the surrounding area to assist in city planning and defense coordination. Geological surveys have already begun in the area to discover unclaimed resources and study some of the unusual sites that have resulted from years of exposure to radiation both man-made and by extraterrestrial sources. One such cache of meteorites located in the Catskills is providing some interesting data.
For those of you that are unaware of the New York posting, I am responsible for overseeing the area roughly 300 kilometers in radius. Specifically, to the North up to the St Lawrence and including the Adirondack region, to the East out to the Merrimack River Basin, to the South the ruins of Philadelphia and the Delaware Bay, and to the West out to the Finger Lakes and near the split of the North and West Branches of the Susquehanna River.
I have also been asked to begin overseeing the preparations for public tours of our main facility at Westchester Field and our new marine research facility at Port Chester. As soon as these are finished, I will of course issue a press release.
I hope to expand upon the work that Sara started and bring about a new partnership with the city of New York and the surrounding areas in the years to come. Any questions or other inquiries may be conducted through my staff, as I am usually moving about between the administrative offices in the city, those at Westchester Field, and Port Chester.
