I never received any e-mails from doing all five of those puzzles and I solved each and everyone of them three times and still nothing.

You know, I’m starting to think that this isn’t just a traditional pen and paper like DND, but something like a hybrid that utilizes the internet for communication.

Sounds kinda like using AIM or MSN to play D&D over the net. But the ruleset will be more D20 Modern than normal. Also looks like the stats might be serversided, and there’s definitely gonna be quests online based of the main page’s imagery.

In case no one has read the key players section closely there is a page on Ethan Haas, it talks about a book he wrote in the late 19th century. It was called The Wheel and other stories. I doubt that AO will put out this (fictional) book, they may as a companion to the player book, but I doubt it. it will probably just have select passages in with the players book.

yeah, there have been other things like that, i believe the Draconomicon for D&D v3.5 has some blurb at the opening of each chapter.

EDIT: Well, it’s nice that within the first few hours, there are already at least two inconsiderate people. But such is the way of the BBS nowadays. Where are the moderators and or admins? I call for the banhammer!

that is my guess, and hope, cause the pages online are interesting. Maybe I should post links to those…

you know what else it reminds me of, is that book from the movie Donnie Darko. After that movie came out, everyone wanted to read the book that doesn’t exist. But at least with Darko they did put out some of the pages. it was enough to make you want more. kinda irritating in a way.
