Gonna sound like a Newb here, but what is Pangea? I gather it is a tool for managing Online Campaigns and is being adapted for AO. Is that correct?

From what I see its a Campaign that Myridean has put together and runs online. She uses a collection of various services to run it. Blogs, email groups, voip programs like skype, etc.

Myridean is also our official “online” Warden and once operational, will be able to run officially sanctioned adventures and the managed campaign online.
See, this is what happens when I’m not paying enough attention to the forums.
A good place to start is my Frequently Asked Questions about NeoPangea itself. It’s a bit outdated though as my PW campaign concept has been in development before AO’s Evolutions Managed campaign was announced. But yes, we are hosting it albeit there are different rules—the biggest is that you must have a different sanctioned character who will only earn CDP through the AO Evolutions campaign sessions. So, although it’s great that you have created a videoblog for your AO:E character, for instance, you will not get CDP credit for it because it’s unfair to those who go to the cons to play their sanctioned characters. As Alex Trebek would say, “Those are the rules.” (Must get that as an wav file sometime.
)
All your answers partially reveal what NeoPangea is much akin to three blind men trying to describe an elephant.
Modules may be played independently or adapted as part of the NeoPangea continuing story. Usually I find these are great, especially the shorter ones to help new players become oriented to the game rules as well as the VGT/VTT. (We are looking for a new one atm, you can follow more talk on this in this thread, http://www.alphaomegathegame.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/733 if you’re interested).
Because it takes time to adapt a story or produce one from scratch, NeoPangea’s RT sessions are once a month while other independent modules or AO:E sessions are played on a monthly basis. However, the fun doesn’t stop there by developing a community of 24 - 30 players (as a start), players are encouraged to RP on their own through independent resources, e.g blogging, storytelling or other ARG techniques or with one another to RP their characters’ social interaction through text, voice or webcasting (LARP). Audio and/or text logs of the characters’ interaction must be submitted by one of the participating players so that all players involved receive CDP. There is a monthly CDP bonus prize awarded to the player’s character who has the best presentation. If it involves more than one character, that bonus will be split evenly among all players. Immortal Blair got the bonus for the first month of play for his videoblog before I had to go on hiatus. It can be viewed here.
Current Status
As you can tell, the more interactive parts of the site, the Forum and the Commons, are still down. After having these two areas vulnerable to viral attacks before we were kicked off our ISP, I’ve been searching off and on for a solution. Hosting the forums and chatroom elsewhere on hosted sites doesn’t enable you to customize for dice rollers, for instance, which can be handy in a pinch for those social skill rolls.
So, it looks like I’m back on a learning curve to become better at php coding / security. *rolls eyes*
Now, I return you back to your regularly scheduled insanity already in progress.
