Do actions continue to have effects in non-active segments?

Wielding: My wielder Hat wants to use a large DoT against some guy he hates, he is active in segments 3 and 6. The wield he uses will take him 3 segments to complete and he begins it in segment 3. Does the wield finish on segment 5, or does it finish on segment 3 of the following turn, only counting his active segments towards the wield time? When his wield goes off does he lose 1 endurance and cause damage on every segment, or only on segments 3 and 6?

Moving: When you change modes from standing to running do you move your run speed only on active segments, or on every segment? If you move on every segment when does the action take place? If Hat begins moving with a speed of 3 SIM on segment 3 and an enemy has an active segment 4, does hat continue to move on segment 4, and if he does would he move the additional 3 SIM before or after the enemy completes his action?

Reloading: Same question, does reloading continue to happen on inactive segments or does it take Active segments?

Wielding and reloading continue into inactive segments.
Moving can only be done in active segments.

DEVs can counter this interpretation if they choose smile

Does the DoT damage tick off in inactive segments?

About moving, I know you can’t change movement modes, but do you continue to move between active segments?

DoT

It continues to deal damage in inactive segments, but the wielder has to continue to pay the Endurance cost as well during those inactive segments.
Per 7.14.4 under Damage Over Time
From that point on, half the total Damage rolled is applied in every subsequent Segment of the duration.
      and
Wielders must subtract one point of Endurance for each Segment in which their Effect is active.

Moving

No, you do not physically continue moving in inactive segments.

DoT

It continues to deal damage in inactive segments, but the wielder has to continue to pay the Endurance cost as well during those inactive segments.
Per 7.4.4 under Damage Over Time
From that point on, half the total Damage rolled is applied in every subsequent Segment of the duration.
      and
Wielders must subtract one point of Endurance for each Segment in which their Effect is active.

I assume that was supposed to be 7.14.4. Is that line from an errata? I just scanned through my PDF a few times and it doesn’t have that line anywhere.

yes, typo, I meant 7.14.4 and editid my reply smile

In section 7.14.4, go to the second page and look at paragraphs 2 & 3 under Damage Over Time.
I copied those directly from the core book, not any errata.
They are in the right hand column just beside figure 6-23.
