How would you use the Omega Source to make a character appealing or charismatic? Kinda how you always see the devil in movies where the devil is very charismatic and normal people seem to think this person is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

And in most cases, these characters are experts at deception and manipulation.  I’d go with Omega wielding effects that emphasize these skills.  Think of Palpatine in Star Wars…

Omega can be used with everything EXCEPT Nihilism, so let’s take a look at just the sample effects:

Alter State Component - (Inspiration) Raise Disposition State, (Malice) Lower Fear State, etc…

Alter Core Quality Score - make yourself loveable…

Read Minds - definitely valuable for learning the secrets of someone - then appeal to their wants/desires or blackmail them for their indiscretions…

Scrying - see Read Minds

Induce Ignorance - self explanatory

plus you can make your own of course - for instance, if you have Prevent Coercion with Source and Clarity Inspiration, then you should be able to use Source and Insanity Intention (the opposite of Clarity) to Muddle Minds, making someone more succeptable to Coercion skills.

So you could create 2 or 3 auras around yourself. One raising a disposition state towards you. one inducing ignorance muddling their perception making people ignore the bad feelings.

Just remember the more things you keep actively aware of the less you can do in combat.

Part of my mediation practice is keeping 3 things going as long as I can in my thought process.  Not like phone numbers or anything.  Try this ... Picture a red screen enveloping your body, a blue screen revolving clockwise around your body and a multi colored screen revolving clockwise.  Most people can get the hang of it in a couple minutes.  But try to talk to someone, especially if they ask a question about a color or direction the wind is blowing and it throws one of the 3 off. 

Sounds weird I know but I try all sorts of meditation and that’s my walking meditation mental exercise.

I wouldn’t look at it for combat. Think of it as someone of evil intent doing it to accomplish their goals of spreading misery.  I was thinking of it for some background for my character.

I try a little bit of everything KS ... My mediation practice though is primarily a mix.  I use a lot of stuff mentioned by Dr Glenn Morris of the Hoshin Roshi Ryu in the three books he published. 

I’m hoping that when I move to Seattle WA I can find a proper trainer and start from the very beginning and learn right.  With me living in kansas there really aren’t any mediation trainers here.  I went to a couple of martial art trainers in the local area and asked what they taught for mediation and just got blank stares.  It’s all “self defense” or “competition” here ... not much about bettering one self.

My goal though is to go through the kundalini before I hit 60.

Those do sound like evil, behind the scenes uses of the omega energy. Maybe how the Big Bad in your campaign might be able to secretly organize and fund his evil empire.

What about my haunted idea?

Give me some examples on what you want to do and either CD or myself will help oyu deteremine which source-intention to use.
I think the general use of haunting would be to make illusions, so Omega-Creation would be the prime for that.
Especially if you made illusions that one person could see, but not others… make them think they are going insane.

Basically I am looking for a way to give someone the haunted disadvantage. The idea beimg this id how my character became haunted.

My thinking is Omega source as it would be the same3 person who is doing the above stuff and I am thinking its a spiritual wielder

Well, if you are just looking for a way to justify the haunted disadvantage, by having someone bring it on themselves rather than having it cast upon them, then there are many reasons that could happen.

1) just travelling within an Omega infested area could cause an Omega spirit to cling to your otherwise good aura, trying to feed on or corrupt you
2) defeating an Omega monster, and a piece of its Omega energy being siphoned into you, especially if oyu used any type of wielding to defeat the creature
3) making another Omega wielder mad, and having him cast major voodoo on you

Those are STORY driven idea if you want an external source for the haunting.

If you’d rather it be a specific wielding effect, then Omega-Creation would give the illusions or Being-Insanity would be used to make someone think they are haunted, as they start to lose their sanity.

That’s easy!!!  Use Omega-Creation to summon and/or control Omega Spirit Orbs (or Lesser Spirit) that whisper malevolent thoughts all the time - should also drive the person insane if they can’t find an Alpha wielder to do an exorcism on him…

Now can haunted be that bad things happen around you. Almost like you are a bad penny. straps come undone on truck loads, winch cables break, stop lights malfunction etc. So nothing directly happens to you. But bad things happen in your presence?
