My guess is that MSL is reluctant to splash out a huge amount of cash given current fan base. We should work at spreading the word on AO more, sell more books effectively, and then there might be a basis for a character generator owned/created by MSL.

Several spreadsheets are out there for the same purpose, some for creating characters, some for maintaining them. Even new tools are appearing like http://alphaomegatools.appspot.com/ This is a great way for us as fans to show MSL what we need in the terms of tool support for the game.

Yah some months ago i had my local san diego game shop order up some copies and they are now in shop… hopefully we can get more people to SEE AO
btw that tool site is pretty sweet, and should be a very very powerful tool once finished….. Maybe we can try to get some of the other tool makers to join up with the guy making that site.

That guy was best man at my wedding 8 years ago, and still a close friend. He’s using a lot of my mechanics in my character builder spreadsheet, so in a way we’re doing that already smile He’s working on back-end (being able to load/save/export/import your character on the website right now).
