Wielders don’t need cyanide capsules

Since unless you are an uber-powerful wielder, it is easy to kill yourself over-wielding. Just thought of this while browsing 7.14.4. Failing by 26+ deals you DRx4 unresisted HP damage if I’m reading it right. Wield an effect way too big for you, and boom.

Philosophical point: With my wielding philosophy you wouldn’t be able to begin a wield with the intent to kill yourself unless you had the agony intent and yourself as the target, I would rule. I suppose it depends on individual GM outlooks on wielding.

I’d let them try, but with a DR that high, the casting time would be extremely long… so they’d most likely be interrupted by an stray patrol before the effect went off cool smirk

I don’t see a problem with this - it is one of the things that keeps wielding in check - you can’t expect to cast a huge fireball as a starting character.
