The Encountered: Field Recognition Guide Now Available

Attn: FLD OPS//MERC EXP//NWSEC ALL
The past two years have been an exciting and hectic period for all of us here at the NWSEC. Together we have made incredible progress exploring and cataloguing the flora and fauna of the New World. It is only through your hard work and dedication that we were able to release The Encountered: Volume 1, thus establishing a firm foundation on which to continue classifying the exciting organisms that now populate our planet.
During the past two years, many members of our organization have requested a concise version of The Encountered for reference in the field. I do not have to tell you that the ability to quickly and accurately identify encountered organisms in the field can mean the difference between life and death and we believe that this Field Recognition Guide (FRG) will allow you all to do just that. It will also prevent some of the duplication of effort that we have observed due to inefficient information management. We believe that by using the FRG our field researchers will avoid spending time studying species that have already been discovered by others. We have also compiled and included approximately previously unpublished orthographic depictions of some very interesting specimens.
Your Senior Management Team has been fully briefed on this new product and will address any questions you may have. Remember to publish any material that you collect using the NWSEC Collaborative Workspace at www.nwsecom.com/cw. The information to post there is a vital and necessary part of our journey to qualify and quantify the New World around us.
Keep up the good work,
Paul Silvine,
NWSEC Director
